Where to start?.....AMAZING is a good start! We purchased a newly-built home in 2017 but didn't move into the home until 2021 full time. We've had issues in the summer time when visiting when the temperatures outside reached high 80's into the 90's and noticed that our AC system couldn't keep the home comfortable with the inside temps as much as 10 degrees hotter than the thermostat set temperature. This issue was more noticeable when we moved in here and July and August months were difficult with the higher outside temps. We had a Carrier HVAC system installed when the home was built and had another HVAC Carrier approved dealer out since the original company that put the system in had retired his business. This company came out to address some of the issues we were having and left us with some information that was not only untrue but upsetting because little could be done to rectify the problem. We were told that the vent work was installed incorrectly when they built the house. After another uncomfortable summer the year after, we decided to call in another Carrier approved dealer to see what options we had. That's where PIERCE TOTAL COMFORT turned it all around for us! I placed a call to them and Kristen answered the phone. She was so professional, kind and took the time to hear everything I had to say. She set up the appointment to have them come out to look at it. Tim came out that day and took a lot of time to hear of the issues we were having and started right in. Probably what I remember most of that day is the unbelievable relief I felt when he explained that our vent work was installed correctly and put an end to any of the information we were told by the previous company. He worked closely with the owner of the company, Gary, informing him of what was going on. Gary called me to go over what he thought was going on and wanted to come out and take a look at this unit himself. He suspected that the unit was just "too light" of a unit or not enough big enough to cool the house effectively. They thoroughly cleaned the AC unit, checked the dampers and the entire system over and unfortunately, the problems still existed. We tossed some other options around but replacing the until with a 4-ton energy-efficient unit was the best option. Did we want to do that to a home that wasn't even 7 years old yet?? It was a big step but the right option for sure! They worked closely with us on picking the best unit that would suit our needs for a home this size. Their communication was wonderful and all the people involved from beginning to end were fabulous! Chris, their lead tech was amazing as well as Tim, Dayton, Dan, and Daulton! At some point they were all at our home diagnosing, or attempting to make small changes to better the quality of air or here the day when they replaced the system. They have complete respect for your home, listen to their customer and work closely with each other to have the best outcome. Gary knows the customer is in good hands with his crew. Gary himself also worked closely with us and answered our calls and emails promptly and personally and put any doubts we had to rest! We now have a new, top of the line, Carrier HVAC System that has already proved we made the right choice with both the system and Pierce Total Comfort. We highly recommend them to anyone that is having issues with their HVAC system. You won't regret it!

My entire experience with Pierce was 100% professional with quality work. Our heat pump/AC was about 20 years old and needed replaced as it was starting to fail. We also had a water heater that was about to rust out. Pierce gave us a great deal on an amazingly efficient setup for both. They were able to guide us through the process needed for rebates, energy efficiency home audit, and loan application. Everything went very smooth frome sales process through installation. The installers were professional, clean, and hard working. Would highly recommend!

I was referred to Pierce Total Comfort when my 28 year old gas furnace stopped working 2 weeks before Christmas. I called and spoke to Gary who came to my house the same day to look at the furnace. Gary was extremely flexible in making time for the visit. His team came out the following week. I went to work Wednesday morning and the new heater was installed and the house was back @ 68 degrees by dinner. His team was courteous and clean laying down plastic throughout the space needed for them to travel back and forth from their trucks. I was completely satisfied with the service and received a call from Gary a week later just to check in on the system and how the temperature felt. Looking forward to many years of service with this company!

What an amazing experience dealing with Gary, Dan and team. Also the girls in the office made scheduling a breeze. Gary took his time to provide a options on replacing our 24 year old HVAC system. We did not feel pressured or obligated to make a decision. We postponed our install until the fall. Although we had a small issue after the install with a manufactured part, Gary quickly got his A team back on the job to replace a part asap. The team worked none stop and put the entire unit in within a full days work. We were able to enjoy some AC when we got a spike in warm weather in October. We turned on the heat a few weeks later and was toasty very quickly. Our bill dropped $150.00 a month. We just got our rebate check as scheduled just in time for Christmas. We would highly recommend Gary and team, I promise that you cant go wrong. This company does very honest work and very easy to work with.

I converted from oil to a gas heat pump. Gary (owner) was outstanding to work with. He explained everything and at a reasonabl price as compared to to three other vendors. His workers eere 100% professional and very friendly.

When a busted pipe in my first floor bathroom sent water raining into my basement, my AC shut down (as it should). Gary called me right back, talked me through troubleshooting as far as I could and then Jeff arrived to thoroughly look over the system, removed wet insulation, dried out wires and gave me instructions on how to proceed. Im glad I decided to have my system installed by Pierce 3 yrs ago. I felt very supported through this flooding problem and I truly appreciate Pierce for their superb service! They were prompt, knowledgeable and professional!

Once again , Gary and his team have exceeded our expectations! Christmas week 2020, our heater gave out and they did a new install on an emergency basis ( we were not even clients of theirs then). Christmas week 2021, they converted our wood burning fireplace to gas, they ran the gas lines and installed an insert and we could not be more thrilled. I had a question about the remote and Jeff actually returned my call Christmas morning to walk me thru my concerns. Their professionalism, courtesy, knowledge and attention to detail go above and beyond. We have referred them to friends who are equally impressed. Kudos to Gary and the entire Pierce gang. It is very difficult to find high quality customer service these days and Pierce delivers! We are customers for life .

If youre looking for a heating or cooling company look no further.Gary and his team truly are the best in the business.I had a fan motor that was making some noise and it was getting real cold out and I was worried that because my old 25 year old unit may be hard to find parts that I would have to buy a whole new unit.Nope Gary did some hard digging around and found a factory replacement fan motor. Within 2 hours he sent a tech out and replaced the fan and all was good.I could not be more pleased with the service Gary provides and the cost was very reasonable too.

I recently had Pierce Total Comfort service my fireplace which wasn't working. It's an old gas fireplace and it needed a new part. The company which made the fireplace had closed and the part could not be located anywhere. The owner, Gary, and his team continued to work relentlessly to fix the issue and resolved it in a way where I am completely satisfied. Gary called me personally to let me know what they were doing and kept me updated. Thank you very much!

Pierce Total Comfort installed a new Carrier HVAC system for us at Star Hill AME Church in Dover this summer. Gary and his team did an excellent job. When we initially reached out to Gary during the Spring, he came down, measured, and did a thorough job of explaining the process to our Trustee Board. We received Pierces quote, which was much better than the competitors, and agreed to terms. We all know the challenges industries have been having with material availability and costs. Pierce stuck by their original quote even though material costs increased between our coming to terms and the installation. There was no talk about passing any costs on to us.The installation and site clean-up went smoothly and their follow-up to our lay questions and concerns was excellent. We recently switched to Pierce Total Comfort (PTC) after the extended warranty and service from another company expired on the new heat pump & A/C they installed. Our initial switch to PTC was for the purpose of annual maintenance and any issues that may arise. Well, let's just say that issues have risen and PTC has thoughtfully and respectfully worked to pinpoint the problem in a stepwise AND LEAST COSTLY approach on 3 separate occasions over the past couple of weeks instead of immediately stating that we needed to get a new unit. They were honest in saying that they weren't sure if any of the solutions we be a lengthy fix and that a new unit will be needed (naturally), but they just wanted to get it right without going down that path without trying a few other options first. Also, there response time was more that I could ask. Within a day, each time, they had a tech out to address the problem even when the heat has been extreme. I highly recommend their services.

Owner Gary Pierce was wonderful to work with. He offered 4 different options to review and select from and provided easy to understand information for all models. Garys crew of technicians were knowledgeable, professional, timely and easy to work with. Chris was patient as he gave a tutorial of the workings of the thermostat and air purifier, showing us how to set up remote access. I highly recommend this company for any and all heating and cooling needs.

A family owned and operated business that truly treats customers like family. I called Pierce the Monday of Christmas week after dealing with furnace issues with our , then current, HVAC company for over a week. This was a cold call as I had never worked with Pierce. Gary and his crew did an emergency installation of a new furnace and had us up, running and toasty warm for the holiday. No hot water and tank leaking all over down stairs. Call at 3PM and by 9:30 PM the same evening had new unit installed and operating. Excellent service, Gary and his guys work overtime to make sure we were dry and functional. Great work at a fair price. I highly recommend !!!!

I’m highly excited for the extreme seasons to begin testing our new HVAC hybrid system: Infinity series furnace & heat pump. I’m new to heat pumps but have researched & learned from the owner of PTC, Gary all I needed to know about the latest technology infused HVAC system I now have installed.

Gary and team did a great job servicing our neglected gas fireplace. They were able to fit us into their schedule when a cancellation came up. Their previous appointment ran a bit longer than expect so the office called to let us know they were running late. When Michael and Tim arrived, they did a great job ensuring they left no mess after disassembling and cleaning the fireplace. They took the time to explain how to disassemble so I could do routine cleaning on my own. When an unrelated follow-up item came up shortly after the initial visit, the office was able to get a technician out in a timely manner to ensure everything was working as expected. So very pleased with every aspect of the recent service I had. Our air conditioner stopped working during a heat wave in July. Called Pierce Total Comfort and they sent Michael - same day! He came on time, replaced our bad capacitor, refilled our refrigerant, performed a complete tune-up, made sure I was well informed throughout the process and was very kind and courteous. Now our system is working like new again and we couldn't be happier. Thank you, Michael, for your top-notch service and well done, Pierce Total Comfort!

We recently had a new furnace and air conditioner installed. Gary was very helpful and informative. Gave us a fair price. There were 4 guys doing the installation and were able to get the job done in 8 hours. They were all very professional, polite and respectful. Also were very conscientious of our home and so neat! We are very pleased with our decision to use Pierce Total Comfort and would highly recommend!

We have been very happy with the service we have received from Gary and Pierce Total Comfort. Our HVAC system was old and the air conditioner was struggling. Gary would arrive within an hour or two of my call because he knows how important my air conditioner is to me. He helped our air conditioner last for another two years as he knew we had just replaced our roof and didn't need the expense. When the time came to replace the HVAC unit in the spring, Gary helped us select the best unit for our house and our budget. Gary and his team were quick, cleaned up everything, and showed us how to use our new digital thermostat to our advantage. Our power bill has dropped over the summer, even while running the air conditioner. We are very happy with our new unit and would recommend Gary and his team (and already have) to others looking for HVAC service.

Stop searching...Pierce Total Comfort of Middletown, DE is the best there is! They installed a flue liner for our oil furnace and exceeded all my expectations. It was a pleasure working with Gary and the guys that did the work, Chris and Michael, knew their stuff and didn’t leave until I was totally satisfied. You can’t go wrong with Pierce Total Comfort.

Great service. Explained exactly what they had to do and why, how it would work, etc. Arrived and tarped the floor, cleaned everything up, never know any work had been done. Love the fireplace. Everyone was personable and courteous.
